Rice with Kipper (Smoketa) in tomatoes and onion (boiled egg without shell)

Smoked herring fillets in tomato sauce 170g
  • Kippers in tomato sauce 1 pc.
  • Long grain rice 200g
  • Butter 30g
  • Chilli flakes - to taste
  • Lemon ½ pc.
  • Eggs 2 pcs

  • Salt, pepper - to taste
  • Melt the butter in a pan. Add the rice and fry.
  • Grate a little lemon peel and squeeze the lemon juice.
  • Add water to the rice (cover 2 fingers high above the rice) and cook until all the water is absorbed into the rice.
  • Add the smoked herring fillet in tomato sauce and mash it in a pan, mix with the rice, and sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Add the chilli flakes and salt to taste.
  • Boil the water in a shallow pot, add salt, create a whirlpool in the water and carefully pour the egg into the middle, boil for 2 minutes 45 sec.
  • Serve the rice in a bowl with the poached egg, add the onions.
